This term the Year Five class have been learning about the redevelopment of land in Geography. As part of this unit the children have posed the question ‘Should Rottnest island be redeveloped into a theme park?’ It was interesting to hear some of the passionate responses to this question as the children came up with many valid reasons for and against the proposal.
In the end, the children used these responses to write persuasive arguments. The children were also required to use design and technology skills to plan and build a model of what a theme park on Rottnest Island might look like. The results were incredible!
