Get Involved
There are many ways to be part of our Holy Spirit community:
- Nominate for the P&F Committee
- Become a Class Representative
- Volunteer at events and initiatives
- Attend P&F meetings
- Share your ideas and feedback
Class Representatives
Class Representatives provide an important link between parents and the P&F. They help foster positive relationships within each year group and support communication between families and the school. Any parent or primary caregiver can volunteer. It’s a wonderful way to meet other families and become more involved in your child’s school life.
P&F Meetings
All parents are welcome to attend P&F meetings. Meetings are friendly and relaxed, with updates from the President, Principal, Treasurer and subcommittees. Open discussion is encouraged, and at least one Class Representative attends on behalf of each year group.
Feedback & Suggestions
Parents are encouraged to share ideas about fundraising, school initiatives, or ways to enhance student life. You can speak with your Class Representative or contact a member of the Committee directly. Feedback can remain confidential if requested.
Get Along
Throughout the year, the P&F and Class Representatives organise a range of community-building events. These are promoted via the school newsletter and Facebook page.
Annual events include:
- Welcome Back Icebreaker
- Sacrament celebrations and special events such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Grandparents Day
- Kids Disco
- Parent Night (e.g. Quiz Night, Bingo, themed evenings)
- End of Year Sundowner
- Parent Education Nights
- Cake Stall at the Wembley Downs District Fair
These events strengthen connections across our school community and create lasting memories for families.
Get Fundraising
The P&F raises funds to enhance facilities, resources and opportunities for our students.
Funds are raised through:
- Annual P&F levy
- Second-hand uniform shop
- Icy pole Fridays and Scholastic book sales
- Special events such as the Easter Fair, quiz nights, Bunnings sausage sizzles, colour runs and raffles
- Grants and sponsorship
While the P&F does not typically fund capital or maintenance works, it proudly supports special projects — particularly playground and grounds improvements — that directly benefit our children.
Parents are encouraged to have a say in how funds are raised and allocated by speaking with a Committee member or Class Representative. The P&F works closely with the Principal to prioritise funding in line with school needs.
