We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled educator to take on the role of Assistant Principal at Holy Spirit. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Holy Spirit staff team, which includes exceptionally dedicated educators with a wide range of experience and expertise. The successful applicant will have direct involvement in a wide variety of leadership experiences as the school continues to build upon its rich history and current pedagogical journey. They will be well supported by a motivated team, focussed on providing the best possible educational experiences for our community.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, dynamic ‘hands on’ educational leader with a collaborative style, who is committed to the Catholic faith and incorporates this in the values and behaviours of their personal and community life. They  will work in close partnership with the Principal, within a single Assistant Principal model and have exposure to all aspects of school leadership. The role encompasses a 0.6 leadership role with a 0.4 specialist teaching load.

The position will be ongoing, following a probation period, commencing at the beginning of Term 2. Additional areas of responsibility will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on their expertise and experience.

Selection Criteria:

  • Understands and supports the Catholic tradition and Ethos of the school. Including experience in leading the implementation of Religious Education and Liturgical celebrations.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a successful record of nurturing positive, respectful relationships between staff, students, parents and parish.
  • Demonstrates outstanding knowledge, ability and experience in classroom teaching.
  • Demonstrates experience managing innovative pedagogical change.
  • Possesses leadership experience which highlights a flexible and calm demeanour to solve complex issues.
  • Experience in leading Special Needs student integration including funding submissions and tracking, additionally; is adept at leading IEP creation, communication and review processes.
  • Possesses strong organisational and time management skills, is self-led with an ability to prioritise tasks, meet prescribed deadlines, and concurrently manage a number of competing tasks.
  • Possesses highly developed decision-making skills and a demonstrated ability to think strategically, creatively and analytically.
  • Possesses a high level of initiative and innovation to create collaborative practices as part of a dynamic school environment.
  • Thrives in a close-knit environment and has the ability to work professionally, cooperatively, and collaboratively as part of a cohesive and dedicated leadership and a small teaching team.
  • Is willing to assist and contribute positively to all areas of school life.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and self-led candidate to fill the new role of Marketing and Enrolment Officer. The role of Marketing and Enrolment Officer at our school is a unique and exciting opportunity, as it is a newly created position. This individual will have the chance to shape and define the responsibilities from the ground up. This new role allows for creativity, innovation, and the chance to make a significant impact on the school’s future success by showcasing the school’s strengths by attracting new students in a dynamic and evolving educational landscape.

Your primary responsibilities in conjunction with the school principal will be to manage, develop and implement strategies to attract new students and continue to promote the school’s positive image and close-knit community.  Social media plays a crucial role in modern marketing, and having relevant experience in this area is highly beneficial. The implementation of a multifaceted marketing plan would include:

  1. Marketing Strategy Development: Create comprehensive marketing plans to promote the school, highlighting its strengths, achievements, and unique selling points.
  2. Enrolment Campaigns: Design and execute campaigns to attract new students and increase enrolment, considering the target audience and demographics.
  3. Branding: Develop and maintain a strong brand image for the school, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials and communication channels.
  4. Digital and Social Media Marketing: Utilise social media platforms to create engaging content, increase online presence, and interact with the school community. This includes managing social media accounts, creating, and scheduling posts, and analysing performance metrics.
  5. Event Coordination: Plan and organize events, such as open houses, school tours, and information sessions, to showcase the school’s facilities and programs to prospective students and parents.
  6. Collaboration with Admissions: Work closely with the office team to streamline the enrolment process and provide necessary information to prospective parents.
  7. Market Research: Stay updated on educational trends, competitors, and market demands to adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
  8. Communication: Effectively communicate the school’s mission, values, and achievements to parents, students, and the community through various channels.

Having experience and skills in these areas will enable you to effectively market the primary school and drive enrolment through various channels.

Selection Criteria

  • Highly supportive of the Catholic Ethos of the school.
  • Positive, organised and calm. Confidently able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexible and able to work individually and in a team environment, covering front office staff as needed during their days of work.
  • Experience in marketing strategy and application.
  • Highly experienced in the creation and sharing of content through social media platforms particularly Facebook and Instagram.
  • In-depth understanding of photography and video production linked to social media advertising and promotions.
  • Able to confidently utilise MS Office, SharePoint, Teams, WordPress, AOS and other programs as needed, to manage media and enrolment data tracking.
  • Be adaptable and open to feedback as the role evolves.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in marketing and enrolment.
