Get Along

Various events are organised throughout the year by either the P&F committee or the year groups via the class reps.  These events are publicised via the school newsletter, P&F notices or the school Facebook page.

Annual Events

The school year kicks off with the Welcome Back Sundowner held on the school lawn on a Friday in the first few week of Term 1.  Families are invited to bring a picnic and catch up with old friends and meet some new ones.

Dad's Camping is another popular event held each year.  Once tents are put up, there is pizza for dinner, followed by popcorn and a movie.  An egg and bacon breakfast is then served in the morning.

Throughout the year morning teas and breakfasts are put on to celebrate the Holy Sacraments and other special days such as Mothers Day, Fathers Day and Grandparents Day.  Each year group is responsible for putting on one of these events.

The Kids Disco is a highly anticipated event that is usually held in Term 3.  This fun filled night is organised by the Year 2 class.

The P&F organise a whole school community Parent Night each year.  Past themes have included a Quiz Night, Bingo Night, Christmas in July, 007 Bond Casino Night.

We farewell the year with another sundowner on the school oval.  Entertainment is provided by our choir singing Christmas songs and our school band, the Electric Spirits also feature.  Again, parents can bring a picnic and enjoy the fellowship of the school community before the school year comes to a close.

Parent Education Nights are usually held once or twice a year and cover a range of topics relevant to the education and parenting of your child.  Topics have included Cyber Safety, Mindfulness, Maths with Dr Paul Swann, and Protective Behaviours

Every year, the P&F have a cake stall at the Wembley Downs District Fair which is held in late October.  Money raised from the stall go towards P&F initiatives.
