This Thursday and Friday, we’re thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented Joanne Colely—author and illustrator of The Magic Book—to our school for a magical incursion with our students!

Here’s what students can look forward to:

Interactive Storytelling – A live read-aloud from ‘The Magic Book’ to ignite imaginations. Joanne’s vibrant storytelling is designed to spark creativity, confidence and curiosity in young minds.

Live Speed Art – Witness the magic as a character comes to life before their eyes in just minutes!

Motivational Talk – Hear Joanne’s personal journey as she inspires future storytellers, artists and dreamers.

Creative Art Workshops – Hands-on sessions where students can explore, create and build their artistic confidence.

Joanne is also the illustrator of ‘The Forever Tree’ by Sarah, Duchess of York, and has collaborated with some of the world’s most renowned creatives. From Times Square to fairytale castles—and even portraits of icons like Daniel Ricciardo and Nic Naitanui—her artwork has captivated audiences worldwide.

She’s currently mentoring young talents for top competitions such as the Little Archies and The Lester Prize—and now she’s bringing that same passion and expertise to our school!

Written and illustrated by Joanne, ‘The Magic Book’ is a whimsical story that whisks readers away into a world of wonder and possibility.

If families would like to purchase a copy of The Magic Book (which Joanne will read to students during her visit), you can order it here: https://joannecolely.com.au/products/the-magic-book

We can’t wait to be inspired!
